Meet Matthew: Development Assistant

My name is Matthew Dooley. I was a camper at ESP for 12 years. I enjoyed all of the fun activities that we did. I tried horseback riding and rock climbing for the first time. I met some of my very best friends when I attended camp. Those friendships, both with my fellow campers and with counselors, have lasted more than 15 years. As I got older, I decided to take a break from ESP to focus on my education. I’ve been working on my degree in communications.

Now, I want to give back to ESP for making my younger years at camp so special. I have recently accepted an opportunity to help advocate for ESP and Camp Hooray! My job title is Development Assistant. I will be giving presentations to families who are interested in sending their kids to camp, giving presentations to donors wanting to donate to ESP, walking around Camp Hooray to check the accessibility of the camp, and generally supporting the ESP mission. You’ll probably hear more from me about Big Jump; wouldn’t want to slack on the event my mom chairs!

I’m excited to use my unique perspective as a former camper to advocate for the magic ESP provides. I am looking forward to being a part of the ESP family and giving back to my community!
