Tribal Summer Week 3 Recap
Can you believe we’ve already finished our third week of summer day camp? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! This week, we went bowling, swimming, hung out with friends, and even participated in Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this week possible. This week may have been the best Tribal Summer week yet!
Bowling at Showtime
Austin and Rod had fun hanging out at Showtime!
We love Showtime Bowling because we always have so much fun! Not only is bowling a blast, but we love to hang out with our friends when we go bowling! Nothing can beat talking, laughing, and taking pictures with our friends when we go to Showtime. So many campers bowled strikes and spares!
Ainsworth got in on the fun and bowled his best!
Swimming at Legion Pool
It sure was a hot one this week, thankfully we were able to cool off a bit in Legion Pool! Who doesn’t love having fun in the sun with all your best friends? We had fun practicing our swimming, splashing each other, and playing games. We’re glad no one got too sunburned!
Jamar was all smiles in the pool!
Cow Appreciation Day
The cow and Brad Lee helped Kalon pass out the morning brags!
It’s the best day of the year – Cow Appreciation Day! We love Chick-fil-A and had to showcase our appreciation! Our campers got a special visit from the Chick-fil-A Cow in the morning and our Vocational Unit went out and visited 3 (you read that right – 3!) Chick-fil-A restaurants!
Sydney showed her Chick-fil-A pride with a cow mask!
Our Vocational Unit sure got crafty this week! After a quick trip to Home Depot for supplies, our unit created an American flag out of wood. They used a blow torch to scorch the different pieces of wood, then put all the pieces together to form the symbol of our nation. How creative! Awesome work, Vocational Unit!
Albert taking his turn wielding the blow torch!
DJ chose to start coloring this coaster with a pink Sharpie!
Our Youngest Unit had fun creating some unique porcelain coasters! After coloring the coasters with Sharpies, our unit leader put alcohol on the coasters to give them a cool watercolor effect. Our campers had fun putting their own twist on each coaster!
ESPete is always full of surprises – and he sure didn’t disappoint this week! This week, our campers got to play life-size Hungry Hungry Hippo in the gym! Everyone had a blast pushing their friends around on the scooters and trying to collect the most balls with their basket. Thanks for coming up with such a great game, Pete!
Austin had a blast during ESPete!
Maya had fun helping decorate the Rice Krispy treats!
All our campers were able to decorate and enjoy Rice Krispy treats this week! Campers were able to choose their favorite color frosting to decorate their Rice Krispy and topped their masterpiece with sprinkles! Of course, everyone’s favorite part was eating the creations after making them.
Fun Friday at Camp Hooray
Eric had fun during the shaving cream war!
We had a blast out at Camp Hooray on Fun Friday!! We had a firetruck out at Camp Hooray, we had fun on the slip-n-slide, got to jump on the bouncy castle, and had a shaving cream war! We also got to play volleyball with our friends and practice our archery skills! We love Fun Fridays!
Peter and Blu enjoyed the slip-n-slide!
