Think your team is up for the challenge? Then the Big Trail & Tug wants YOU!

There are two ways to be a part of the day: run the trail in the morning or pull in the competition in the afternoon.

Teams are made up of 5 tuggers each, and they will compete in brackets against other teams in their category. The two categories are:

Lightweights: teams of individuals under 18 or under 180 pounds

Lugs: teams of individuals over 18 and over 180 pounds

To tug, teams will create a fundraising page and raise at least $300. A single team leader can create a page for everyone or each member can have their own page within the team. Make it a competition between team members! Our team that raises the most will be recognized at the Tug of Love.

It’s going to be a fun and competitive way to spend the day. Expect teams of policemen, firefighters, and community leaders all tugging for their county. Spectators can cheer teams on to a very muddy victory and awards will be given to Highest Fundraiser and Strongest Teams.

The Tug of Love began in 2014 when Lead Jackson and more than 75 local businesses & organizations contributed to the Tug of Love benefiting the Jackson County Special Needs Summer Camp, formerly known as Wellspring. Each donation – large and small – contributed to the overall success of the event and to furthering our mission of providing children and adults with special needs and their families acceptance, hope, and the opportunity to not just survive, but to thrive. For our 2016 event, we are offering the opportunity for businesses to show their support for Camp Hooray and ESP and to be recognized as a Sponsor of the Tug of Love!
