The {Base}ics of Big Hearts

With no exaggeration, it’s easy to say that this year’s Big Hearts will be bigger and better than ever. The production value of the event has grown alongside ESP, with more volunteers, participants, sponsors and special surprises to show for it. The 2019 theme of Big Hearts at Bat also connects itself to our Miracle League project in a fully-realized way.

Here are some of the biggest changes you’ll see at Big Hearts 2019.

Silent Auction Swag

Food, football, and fun. What more could you need in life?

Those are just a few of the running themes in this year’s silent auction. From free weekend getaways to signed UGA footballs, to paid dinners at your favorite restaurants, there is something for everyone at the silent auction this year.

In addition to providing exclusive gifts and services, the auction is also a great way to recognize ESP’s community partners. It’s not just for businesses either; you’ll also find some personalized items donated by families and individuals at the auction.

There are still two weeks ahead of you to donate your silent auction item! Click below to pre-register your donation.

You can also pre-bid for an item! Just create an account, add your email and choose to keep your credit card on file.

Pro Tip: You don’t have to own a business to donate to the auction! Families and individuals are also encouraged to showcase their items. For example, if you have a passion for baking or crafting, create a gift basket to share at the auction.

The Mystery Emcee

You’ll see a mix of familiar and strange faces on the Big Hearts stage this year. In addition to our talented contestants and performers, four special emcees will walk you through the pageant:

ESP’s own Jake Sapp, Program Staff Manager; Charlie Lawrence, a long-time ESP participant; Fox Sports South host and Atlanta Braves field reporter Kelsey Wingert; and a super secret guest you’ll have to see to believe.

Our emcees have the charge of keeping the audience at the edge of their seats in between events and keeping the show going. This incredible lineup is sure to impress.

Big Hearts at Bat will be host to some twists and turns that define it from years past in an interesting and entertaining way. We can’t wait to see you on the big night, whether you come to the pageant, participate in the silent auction or socialize at the banquet. Remember, you can engage with Big Hearts before February 9th by sharing our Facebook event, voting in People’s Choice, and making your own social media announcements with the hashtag #BigHeartsAtBat.
